Summary: The WMS Reader is a coverage that is retrieved from a Web Map Service (WMS) server.

Input: This process has no input.

Output: Coverage

  • Description: A WMS coverage opened using GDAL (Geospatial Data Abstraction Library).

Attributes:

  • Server A URL specifying the location of the WMS server hosting the data.
  • Layer The name of the datasource to access.
  • Minimum Resolution The minimum resolution of the datasource.
  • Maximum Resolution The maximum resolution of the datasource.
  • Minimum Latitude The minimum latitude of the datasource. This can be any value between -180 and 180, and should be less than the Maximum Latitude value.
  • Maximum Latitude The maximum latitude of the datasource. This can be any value between -180 and 180, and should be greater than the Minimum Latitude value.
  • Minimum Longitude The minimum longitude of the datasource. This can be any value between -90 and 90, and should be less than the Maximum Longitude value.
  • Maximum Longitude The maximum longitude of the datasource. This can be any value between -90 and 90, and should be greater than the Minimum Longitude value.

Details

You will not typically need to create or edit this process. When you use the OGC Import Wizard to import a data source from a WMS Server, WorldView automatically creates the process for you and populates it with values appropriate for the specified data source.
