General Balanced Ternary (GBT) Arithmetic

A type of tesseral arithmetic developed by Dean Lucas and Laurie Gibson, who applied it to Geographical Information Systems during the 1970s and 1980s. This hexagon-based mathematical system for representing spatial data allows computation of image measures over regions of different sizes.
