Details

A sampler is a process that is responsible for translating from X,Y space (lat, lon) into PYXIS space. This sampler takes the position of the center of the PYXIS cell and looks for the four data points in the X,Y data that make a square around the center of the cell. From these four points we do a linear interpolation to find the value for the PYXIS cell. For more information see Sampling Data.
