2010
June 3 - the PYXIS innovation is pleased to announce that the US National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency through Harris Corporation has agreed to license PYXIS GeoWeb Technology to support their Online Geospatial-Intelligence efforts. PYXIS technologies uniquely enable fast geodata integration, the main bottleneck in the evidence based decision making cycle of GeoInt2.
April 8 - WorldView GeoWeb Browser Beta 2.3 is now released with a new persistent vector generation engine, navigation control widgets, improved real-time navigation and icon rendering. THe new release also provides easy access to high fidelity LiDAR with 4 expanded terrain data formats and on-the-fly slope analysis processes.
March 31 - the PYXIS innovation will be presenting "The GeoWeb Unleashed on an Encrypted Peer-to-Peer Network" at GeoWeb 2010: Going Real Time - July 26-30 at the Wosk Centre for Dialogue, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

February 1 - WorldView GeoWeb Browser Beta 2.2 is now released which includes advanced support for OleDB Excel 2007 drag and drop functionality.
January 15 - the PYXIS innovation is pleased to announce the release of Beta 2.1 of WorldView GeoWeb Browser. This release provides a general performance upgrade with improved user interaction and new processing speed, boasting 4 times faster than the previous release.
January 12 - the PYXIS innovation is pleased to announce it has reached a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Adamlabs. The MOU provides for a formal agreement to build, license and market an Integrated Resource Management System using PYXIS technologies targeted at emerging opportunities within the changing environmental regulations of the Alberta Energy Resource Sector.
2009
October 30 - WorldView GeoWeb Browser Beta 2.0 is now released featuring read and publication from Oracle Spatial Database 11G.
the PYXIS innovation will be presenting "Grand Challenge of Geospatial Integration using the Digital Earth Reference Model" at GeoWeb 2009 in Vancouver, July 27 to 31.
Industry Canada will contribute funds necessary to advance the Geometric Feature capabilities of WorldView, a significant requirement of the Alberta GeoWeb and Integrated Resource Management (IRM) Pilot Project.
The International Journal of Digital Earth published a paper in their March edition by A. Vince and X. Zheng on Arithmetic and Fourier transforms for the PXYIS multi-resolution digital Earth model. The paper shows a recursive definition of the PYXIS grid, a systematic approach to the labeling, an algorithm to add PYXIS labels, and a discussion of the discrete Fourier transform on PYXIS grids.
2008
PYXIS to present "Integration is not a GeoPortal" - a discussion about the value of integrating geodata on a Digital Earth Reference Model at the 2008 GeoAlberta Conference, November 17 to 19 at the Shaw Conference Centre Edmonton.
September 19 - In preparation for the imminent official worldwide release of its WorldView GeoWeb Browser, the PYXIS innovation announces a limited Beta release of WorldView. To mark the event, and to provide an update to interested clients and investors, the PYXIS innovation also publishes the inaugural issue of its newsletter: Turning Our View Inside Out.

The Canadian Circumpolar Institute and the World Conservation Union (IUCN) take delivery of a new WorldView data publishing mechanism for Arctic environmental research. The application was generously supported through Canada's GeoConnections.
We congratulate Renee Sieber Associate Professor at the Department of Geography at McGill University for her recently awarded GEOIDE Grant that features the PYXIS DERM and WorldView as a medium for disseminating information on the GeoWeb in support of evidence based decision making.

PYXIS in Belle Horizonte, Brazil, supporting Unimontes scientists successful presentation to the R&D foundation FAPEMIG, June 12, 2007. The proposal is for multiple year investigations of tropical dry forests in Minas Gerais at the State Parks of Serra do Cipo and Matas Secas. The PYXIS innovation supports sociologists, ecologists, biologists and remote sensing scientists in their research to understand and preserve these delicate ecosystems. The work is a part of Tropi-Dry, a large multinational program lead by Dr. Arturo Sanchez-Azofeifa, Director of the Centre of Earth Observation Sciences at University of Alberta, and includes participation from United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Cuba, Venezuela, Panama and Brazil.
